A chronic problem which occurs when a body is unable to manage the glucose present in it is called Juvenile diabetes. Glucose acts as the body’s fuel, but if the body is unable to break it down, then it remains in the body and can cause problem in the organs. Juvenile diabetes is similar to type1 diabetes. If the type1 diabetes occurs in the childhood, then it is termed as juvenile diabetes. It occurs due to breakdown of the immune system of the body, in which the body starts attacking its own defenses (in this case, beta cells). These disorders are categorized as auto immune disorders. Juvenile diabetes’s symptoms include: Frequent desire of sweet drinks as any child diagnosed with juvenile diabetes urinates often. The kidneys start repelling the high amount of sugar present which leads to sugar in the urine Drop in weight (as body is now using fats for energy) and changes in behavior such as irritability. Symptoms can also include dry throat or mouth, vomits and a feeling of nausea. There would be an increase in the food intake of the child as the body is now burning fats for energy.
