If you are Type 2 diabetic with overweight then you need to monitor your weight and you need to know what should be the ideal weight according to your age and standard of living your doctor will decide.Weight is one of your diabetes numbers.Your weight, height and age will help you to calculate your body mass index.

Your waist size describes about your health problems – According to the studies men who have a waist circumference of 94-102cm face a 1.5-2 times greater risk of suffering from cardiovascular disease and for women it is 80-88 cm.

Blood pressure is another diabetes numbers as the diabetic people should know about their Blood Pressure as having a high blood pressure increases your chances of having heart disease.You should regularly monitor your blood pressure and your optimum systolic pressure should be under 130mmHg, while diastolic pressure should be under 80mmHg.

You must be aware of the fact that if your sugar level is high it can damage your blood vessels, kidneys ,eyes and nerve.You need to keep your sugar level under control.

Your Fasting sugar level should be -90-130 mg/dl
Post Prandial < 180 mg/dl.

Knowing your cholesterol is another diabetes number as increase in cholesterol can lead to increase in the chances of getting heart disease.

The ideal level should be LDL Cholesterol 40; Women >50

Triglycerides < 150.
