A canine diabetes diet is best to keep your dog’s sugar level under control with a balanced body weight. Dogs need a high protein diet and low carbs while it is different in humans.
If you have a diabetic dog then you will have to tackle his urge of constantly eating food as it can increase his sugar level which can lead to liver, kidney, heart disease and blindness. You can give your dogs meals in regular time intervals and remove the bowl if food from floor after he finishes his meal. You will have to practice it for some time before he becomes habituated.

Try feeding your dog 2 or 3 small meals rather than feeding him once with a large meal as it will help in maintaining the required sugar level. Like human beings along with a proper canine diabetes diet you need to take your dogs for a walk to keep them in shape.
